Abstract: This study takes the "Journey of Generations" initiative, in which the National Library and Archives of the United Arab Emirates participated, as a case study to examine how humanistic care enables archival services to move beyond traditional professional boundaries. The findings indicate that the program is characterized by three key practical features: breaking through the conventional boundaries of archival services and integrating them into community development settings; responding precisely to the spiritual and cultural needs of older adults and embodying humanistic care in archival services; and innovating archival exhibition and narrative approaches to foster emotional resonance and value recognition among the public. The program offers the following implications for public services in Chinese archival institutions: strengthening social responsibility and extending the boundaries of archival public services; adhering to a people-centered approach and developing a differentiated humanistic service system for diverse user groups; innovating archival narratives and methods of archival resource activation to enhance the appeal and emotional impact of archival services; and improving multi-stakeholder collaboration mechanisms to enable archival services to reach wider audiences and become more deeply integrated into society.
